According to ESPN today, Chelsea are ready to sanction the departure of one current player who was only signed last January, less than 12 months ago.
The club have been signing new players left, right, and centre since the new ownership arrived at the club. In three transfer windows so far, they have managed to spend almost £1billion on new players and we are about to embark on another transfer window where they may well be spending even more!
EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea eyeing two new wingers for the January window!
But to continue that, they have to sell players as well, and a report from ESPN today suggests they are ready to do just that.
They claim Chelsea are ready to sanction the departure of several players including Trevoh Chalobah, Ian Maatsen and Noni Madueke to help fund their January transfer plans.
However, it sounds like Madueke could be a loan move, if he is to go.
The report explains Pochettino’s predecessor as Chelsea’s permanent boss, Graham Potter, pushed hard for the signing of Madueke. The 21-year-old signed a seven-year contract — with the option for a further year — and so it is possible he could be allowed to leave on loan if a suitable offer arrives.
