Ayoze Perez is on fire. He has scored 6 goals in 7 games. His move to Villareal was completed on the 13th of August as his next four years will be with The Yellow Submarine. He has also featured for Spain in the Nations Leauge in the 0-0 draw vs. Serbia.
Sevilla signed Kelechi Iheanacho with a view to see him as a potential top target, scoring goals, but so far he has been on the field on 4 occasions, 2 starts and 2 coming in from the subs bench. No goals so far.
Dennis Praet has finally found a new club as he agreed to join Royal Antwerpen. He joined the Belgian club on the 6th of September, putting pen to paper on a two year deal with an option for one more year. Praet (30) made his debut vs. Union SG on the 15th of September, coming on as a sub in the 2-0 home win. He made his second appearance, also coming in from the bench, in an away fixtures on the 21st of September vs. Westerlo, winning 2-1, building a good start with two wins in two.
Silko Thomas made his 6th apperance for Wigan in a 0-0 away draw vs. Lincoln. So far no goals in a start that has found The Latics in 14th place so far. Zach Booth made his debut for Excelsior in a 3-2 home win on the 13th of September, coming off the bench to help his club secure this win.
Sammy Braybrooke has so far made three appearances on loan at Dundee, two league games and one cup game, in the cup, a 3-0 defeat to Rangers, Braybrooke in the starting eleven. The two league games ended in a 2-2 draw vs. St. Mirren, Braybrooke starting, and in the next, coming in from the bench, in the 2-0 defeat vs. Ross County. He was also lately picked for England duty, playing in the England Elite League Squad, winning the game 2-0 with Braybrooke again coming in from the bench.
Oxford United signed Ben Nelson on loan for this season. He has not yet made any appearances for his new club, being part of the squad, but not been given minutes so far. Former Leicester defender Elliott Moore is the captain of the club, and so far played four of six league games, as well as taking part in a Carabao Cup game.
Amani Richards, currently on loan at Exeter City, has been involved in two games so far, at this point being sidelined due to injury. The young forward is expected to learn from a season in League One, but not ideal to be injured, when on show for a potential return and first team competition.
In Premier League last weekend, both James Maddison and Harvey Barnes were on the scoresheet. Maddison scroing the 3-1 goal for Spurs, Barnes scored Newcastle’s only goal in the 3-1 defeat vs. Fulham. Timothy Castagne was an unused sub for Fulham, Calvin Bassey having all minutes on the evening.
Youri Tielemans has shone for Aston Villa in the start of this season, so far 5 starts in 5 games, showing great form and sadly being very influential in that Villa 2-1 win over Leicester at King Power Stadium late August.
Barrow are the current leaders of League Two, Chris Popov is on a season long loan at the club. Popov has so far featured in three games, coming off the bench in all of them, and all of them wins, latest on the 10th of September in a 2-0 win vs. Stockport County. Popov has also featured for Wales U.21 in recent weeks, coming off the bench in the 2-1 away win, vs. Iceland.
Blackpool are currently 9th in the League One table with Oliver Norburn featuring in four of those seven games played. Josh Knight came on as a sub for Hannover, when they were defeated 1-2 by Paderborn. Ron-Robert Zieler was in goal for the H96.
Caglar Soyuncu (28) has made his move to Fenerbahce permanent, signing a four year deal, with a transfer fee of €8 million paid for his services. He was in the starting line up in yesterday’s Europa League fixture vs. Union SG, winning 2-1 at home, as the former Leicester defender scored the opening goal for his team.
