Wolves forward Matheus Cunha has been suspended for two matches after being involved in an altercation at the end of his side’s match against Ipswich on December 14.
Cunha was seen confronting members of Ipswich’s security team after his side’s stoppage-time defeat at Molineux.
Cunha’s team-mate Rayan Ait-Nouri was also sent off after the full-time whistle as tempers flared following Jack Taylor’s late winner.
Cunha was charged by the FA and an independent commission has now suspended him for Wolves’ next two matches and fined him £80,000.
The Brazilian has enjoyed a great season despite his team’s Premier League struggles, notching ten goals in 18 league appearances.
But the 25-year-old will now miss Wolves’ Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest on Monday as well as their FA Cup third round trip to Bristol City.

New Wolves manager Vitor Pereira will be thankful the Brazilian did not receive a more hefty punishment
Wolves have beaten Leicester and Manchester United and drawn at Tottenham since Vitor Pereira replaced Gary O’Neil as manager earlier this month.
Speaking before their clash in north London, Pereira indicated that the club were expecting Cunha to receive a suspension.
‘We are trying to prepare other players because when it happens we must be ready with other players,’ the Wolves boss said.
‘They are working, they are doing good work, they are trying to understand the idea, the intention of what we want, with and without the ball, waiting for an opportunity.’
Wolves are bracing themselves for a nervy January, with interest growing in their star man who has scored 10 goals and provided four assists for the side sitting 17h in the table.
The likes of Manchester United and Arsenal could test the club’s resolve when the window opens on Wednesday.
The Midlands club sit one point and one place outside the relegation zone.
