Tottenham Hotspur starlet Mikey Moore has been serving the sidelines owing to illness and has missed out on multiple games with the severity of it. And injury expert Dr. Rajpal Brar suggests that the academy graduate may be out for a while given his extended absence will take a toll on his fitness.
Moore’s illness – a cause of concern
Moore last featured donning the Lilywhites colours against Manchester City on 30th October last year in the EFL Cup. Andy discussing the illness and the possible fitness concerns owing to extended absence in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, Dr. Brar said:
“This really comes down to what he has or hasn’t been able to do while ill. If he’s been in bed and not eating, then that can significantly impact his fitness levels and conditioning, which requires a longer runway.
“Based on his absence, it does sound on the more severe side, and he may still be out for multiple games.“
Moore is a highly regarded talent at Hotspur Way; however, his illness should be a cause of concern given how rare it is to see a player absent for such an extended period with illness. And whenever Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou is quizzed about it, the Australian insists that Moore is not ready to return to first-team action.
Integrated into the senior setup at White Hart Lane by Ange Postecoglou in the ongoing campaign, the England U19 international has made eight (8) senior appearances for the Lilywhites thus far this season, though he has contributed with neither goals nor assists as of yet.
Hopefully, the teenager hasn’t suffered anything long-term and could be back serving the badge and entertaining the crowd at White Hart Lane soon.
