Tottenham Hotspur have been looking to bring in a new striker in the ongoing January transfer window as Daniel Levy looks to bring in a commendable understudy to Dominic Solanke in Ange Postecoglou’s roster, and the Lilywhites have been looking at Randal Kolo Muani, who can not only be a backup but also a competitor to the former Bournemouth star.
And looking to pursue a move for the French centre-forward, they have taken significant steps in pursuit of bringing him to White Hart Lane, as club chairman Daniel Levy, alongside director of football Johan Lange, is reportedly flying to Paris to try and negotiate a deal for the 26-year-old, according to TheBoyHotspur (as relayed by Caught Offside).
A deal for Muani that pleases Levy
The aforementioned report further details that the player is expected to cost around £55 million, and the potential deal is set to include a financial arrangement that would appeal to Daniel Levy and his cost-conscious approach to transfers.
PSG signed Randal Kolo Muani in a deal worth €90 million in the summer of 2023 following his exceptional performances at Eintracht Frankfurt, where he scored 26 goals and provided a further tally of 17 assists in 50 outings. However, the 26-year-old has struggled to replicate his Bundesliga form for PSG with only 11 goals and 7 assists in 54 appearances since he moved to his home country.
However, Tottenham are not alone in Randal Kolo Muani’s pursuit, with Arsenal being offered the player while Aston Villa already having a meeting scheduled with his current employers for next week.
