Michy Batshuyai, the Belgium international is currently at Turkish side Galatasary, having joined them on a free transfer last summer. Now aged 31 he has played 16 league games, with a return of five goals, and two assists, yet has rarely played a full 90 minutes.
The striker who has reportedly rejected West Ham in the past enjoyed a more prolific season the year before, netting 24 league goals for Fenerbahce after impressing on loan at Beskitas, where he averaged a goal every two games. Batshuyai also boasts an impressive international record with 27 goals in 55 appearances for Belgium.
The player brings Premier League experience having previously played for both Chelsea and Crystal Palace, though he struggled at the Eagles during a loan period between 2019 and 2021.
Known for his speed, strength and positional play he could offer the Hammers a short term option, especially given limited funds.
West Ham have a long history of underwhelming signings in the striker department, and with a long term injury to Michail Antonio, and Jarrod Bowen out for 6-8 weeks, the club could explore the possibility for a temporary deal.
