According to a report from Sky Sport journalist Kerry Hau, Arijon Ibrahimović might not be on the move after all.
While a loan makes sense on some levels, Bayern Munich would want assurances that the 19-year-old would get consistent playing time before sending him away:
FC Bayern’s plans to loan Arijon Ibrahimović out in January are not yet concrete. There is loose interest from home and abroad in the attacking talent, but nothing has progressed yet.
In any case, everyone involved agrees: a loan only makes sense if the 19-year-old also gets regular playing time at a higher level. Frans Krätzig (VfB loan canceled due to insufficient match practice) and Gabriel Vidović (only 48 professional minutes in Mainz) are cautionary examples.
The unfortunate part of this for Ibrahimović is that there is very little chance for playing time given the glut of attacking options on Bayern Munich’s roster. In the end, the youngster just needs minutes.
