Graham Potter will imminently be announced as the new West Ham United manager it seems.
Julen Lopetegui will be relieved of his duties as West Ham manager this afternoon, with Graham Potter coming into the London Stadium to replace him.
The Hammers are due to pay Lopetegui £3.3 million in compensation, whilst hiring Potter will cost us at least £2 million until the end of this season alone!
Lopetegui has proven to be woefully inept since taking the West Ham job.
His tactics have been utterly bizarre at times, and he has clearly struggled to form strong relationships with his players, and the fans.
It’s obviously time for a big change at the London Stadium.
But when will Potter be officially announced?
Graham Potter’s agent is summoned down to London
It’s all change at West Ham then it seems.
With Lopetegui set to exit the club, Potter is the man being tasked with replacing him.
However, it was recently reported that the deal to bring the 49-year-old was far from finalised.
Now though, it seems like it’s only a matter of time before Potter rocks up in East London.
Hammers insider Sean Whetstone took to his X account this afternoon to provide an update on the incoming managerial change at the London Stadium:
He said, “Graham Potter’s agent John Morris from Wasserman is on his way to London to meet up with his client for final media work at the London Stadium prior to an official announcement which could come as soon as this evening.“
So it looks like everything is pretty much done now then.
Graham Potter will be announced as the new West Ham manager later today, or tomorrow at the latest, as he takes the reigns from Julen Lopetegui.
I’m convinced that Potter will take the Hammers to another level entirely, with his extraordinarily exciting system.
The future is very bright indeed for West Ham. We just have to hope that the fans, and the board of course, are patient enough to give Potter the time he needs to work his magic.
