Tottenham Hotspur and Daniel Levy are looking to bring in a new midfielder in the ongoing winter transfer window, and they are looking at to push the gas pedal for signing Inter Milan’s Davide Frattesi, per Tuttomercato.
Tottenham looking to take Frattesi advantage
The Lilywhites are undergoing a disappointing ongoing campaign, and they would be keen on bringing in a new face in the middle of the park that can not only increase depth but also give some tactical dynamism to Ange Postecoglou’s side, and making a move for Frattesi seems to fit the bill.
Frattesi has established himself as a box-to-box threat at San Siro; however, the game time coming his way has been limited under Simone Inzaghi this season, and looking to add more playing time to his belt, the Italian may be planning to move to another team.
Deep pockets as Levy looks to take advantage
For Tottenham supporters, this opportunity to bring in a talent like Frattesi looks quite tempting given that he is a hard-working midfielder, a potent passer, and an accurate shooter and could just prove to be the player Ange needs to start making a difference, and the fact that the likes of Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Nicolo Barella have established themselves at San Siro could prove to be a blessing for the Lilywhites.
Inter Milan has placed a €45m price tag on the Italian international’s services, but it is to be seen if Levy is willing to pay the hefty fees to bring the player to N17 given how Tottenham has been insistent on getting the deal over the line.
