it is no secret that Bayern Munich has strong interest in Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens, but if the Bavarians want to secure the Englishman, they will have to ward off challenges from both Manchester United (dumpster fire) and Chelsea FC per Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg:
⭐️ It’s not just FC Bayern considering a move for Jamie #Gittens this summer.
Manchester United and Chelsea are also seriously interested. #MUFC #CFC
No decisions have been made yet, but all teams have expressed concrete interest.
If Borussia Dortmund fail to qualify for the Champions League, the departure of the 20-year-old top talent becomes highly likely.
Gittens will cost a pretty penny and while Bayern Munich might really like him, Manchester United and Chelsea could actually be more desperate and willing to back up the Brinks truck for him.
RB Leipzig could be looking at a loan deal for USMNT attacker Timothy Weah:
RB Leipzig have seen a loan bid to sign USMNT winger Timothy Weah rejected, according to Foot Mercato. The deal would have contained an option to sign the 24-year-old permanently, but Juve want to keep him as he has registered four goals and four assists in 20 appearances so far this season and seems to have the faith of new head coach Thiago Motta.

Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka was named to kicker’s Bundesliga Team of the Week:
As rumors continue to swirl that Bayern Munich and Alphonso Davies are close to a new deal, Real Madrid might be officially moving on from a pursuit of the Canadian:
Real Madrid are eyeing up multiple high-profile signings for the summer transfer window, although one looks like it is about to fall through – that being for leading left-back target Alphonso Davies.
Davies has been on the club’s radar for some time, and the idea is picking him up in the summer after the expiry of his Bayern Munich contract has been very appealing. However, it is looking less and less likely that the Canadian international will be available for free at the end of the season.
Bayern offered a new deal to Davies earlier this week, and an agreement is said to be very close. As such, Diario AS have reported that Real Madrid are starting to accept that they will not be signing the 24-year-old.
Left-back has been a problem position for Real Madrid this season, so Davies’ arrival has been necessary. With his incoming no longer expected, it will be interesting to see whether someone else is brought in to compete with Ferland Mendy and Fran Garcia.

Arsenal FC is looking closely at RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Šeško to help deal with the loss of Gabriel Jesus:
Arsenal have made RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Šeško their key target following the ACL injury to Gabriel Jesus, report both The Sun and The Times. The 21-year-old has been consistently linked with the Gunners for the past 12 months but he chose to sign a new contract at the Bundesliga club last summer. Arsenal are weighing up whether to make a £70m offer now or go for a short-term loan deal. As with Gyökeres, it would take a big transfer fee to do a deal before this window closes but Mikel Arteta desperately needs reinforcements. The Slovenia international has scored 18 goals in all competitions, and netted in the last seven league matches.
However, Arsenal has a backup plan should a Šeško move fall through — Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyökeres:
Arsenal are also interested in Viktor Gyökeres, according to the Independent, but Manchester United remain his most likely destination. Gyökeres enjoyed a prolific 18 months playing under now-United boss Ruben Amorim at Sporting CP, and the former Coventry City player is seen as a key addition to the rebuilding job at Old Trafford. Arsenal had raised the possibility of making a move this month to fix their own problems up front. Gyökeres has a release clause under £100m, which makes him an attractive option. United cannot afford to sign the 26-year-old this month, while Sporting would rather he stayed until the summer. Arteta’s best chance of getting Gyökeres would appear to be to swoop in this window.
Bayern Munich is fresh off a 5-0 stomping of Hoffenheim, but the club could be facing bigger battles in the boardroom than on the pitch these days.
