The Tottenham hierarchy have no immediate plans to sack Ange Postecoglou despite a slump in form
It has been a tumultuous period for Tottenham Hotspur and their boss Ange Postecoglou.
The past week has been nothing short of disastrous for the Greek-Australian tactician, who endured back-to-back defeats to Arsenal and Everton in the Premier League within a span of four days. A demoralizing 2-1 loss to fiercest North London rivals Arsenal meant Ange Postecoglou demanded a reaction from his boys in the next game, but it was followed by a tepid and uninspired first-half display in the 3-2 defeat to David Moyes’ Everton on Sunday.
Ange Postecoglou was extremely disappointed after the defeat to Everton—as he should be—and demanded for reinforcements in this ongoing January transfer window. Spurs’ fifth defeat in the last six Premier League games is unacceptable and relegation form, which has mounted massive pressure on the 59-year-old.

There are calls from certain sections of the media to sack Big Ange, while many fans have given up on him. However, the Hotspur Way chiefs have no plans to dismiss Big Ange from his post, despite their slump in form. Instead, they remain intent on backing him by securing new signings this month.
This is the latest information shared by the reliable Football London journalist Alasdair Gold, who thinks Tottenham must accelerate their transfer plans given the injury situation is not showing signs of clearing.
The North Londoners have yet to sign any outfield players in January after adding goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky to Big Ange’s ranks, but are understood to be looking at reinforcements in both defence and attack.
The Lilywhites—spearheaded by technical director Johan Lange—could make a move for Paris Saint-Germain defender Milan Skriniar on loan in the final days of the transfer window. As far as the attacking unit is concerned, the club chiefs have shifted their focus toward OGC Nice star Evann Guessand after missing out on Randal Kolo Muani to Juventus.

Even though Spurs sit in 15th place in the Premier League table, the hierarchy has continued to give time to Big Ange to turn things around. Chairman Daniel Levy has historically been quick to wield the axe on managers if the club fall adrift from the race for Champions League football, but he has shown a lot of patience with the Australian.

Given an unending wave of injuries has plagued Tottenham’s season and has left the squad stretched thin across multiple positions, it is high time for Levy and Co. to move quickly and pump in fresh blood into Postecoglou’s roster before time runs out.
