He recorded two diving saves to keep his team in it. Stuttgart was able to score two goals to take a 2-1 lead before Leipzig received two late red cards — both second yellows — making a late comeback impossible.
Nübel started in goal for Stuttgart against Freiburg at home. He did not need to make a save, yet still recorded a shutout. He completed 89% of his passes — misplaying just four of them. Four different teammates scored four goals for the home team, leading Stuttgart to a 4-0 win.

Wanner left the match in the 76th minute with Krätzig. The match was level at two when they left the field, but Bremen scored right after they subbed off. Heidenheim scored an equalizer from a direct free kick deep in stoppage time.
Wanner entered the match against St. Pauli at halftime when Heidenheim was down 1-0 after the converted penalty. He had one shot from the top of the box, but it was blocked at the point of the kick.
