According to a report form Sport Bild journalists Christian Falk and Tobi Altschäffl (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Hoffenheim midfielder Tom Bischof chose to join Bayern Munich over several clubs including Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig — plus several Premier League outfits (Arsenal was rumored to be among them):
Frankfurt, RB Leipzig and Premier League clubs were all interested in Tom Bischof, but he decided to join Bayern. Bayern bosses also had the Club World Cup in mind when signing Bischof. He’s expected to play there and expand the squad’s depth. An immediate loan is therefore out of the question. The signing of Bischof is also considered a signal to Leon Goretzka. Despite his current form, the club is still willing to sell him in the summer.
Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg backed up the report and went further to indicate that the announcement could drop as early as…today: (via @iMiaSanMia):
Done deal: Tom Bischof has passed his Bayern medical and signed a long-term contract at least until 2029 starting from the summer. Announcement expected today.
If true, that is one signing done for 2025/26…and more are expected to follow (just not today).
