Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran has no interest in joining West Ham as first reported earlier this morning on Hammers Chat Patreon.
The Midlands club were reportedly furious after the Hammers submitted a £57m bid including bonuses for the striker on the week of their Champions League fixture against Monaco, with some suggesting it unsettled the player.
However, it has been made clear to us that the Villains were not inconvenienced by the bid, as Duran has no interest in moving to West Ham.
In fact, the player himself is said to be furious with the Hammers after being left in the lurch last summer.
At the time, West Ham were close to signing the striker, with the two clubs only £3m apart in their valuations. Villa, Duran, and his representatives were so confident the deal would be finalised that the Colombian striker posted a crossed Hammers sign on his social media account, believing the move was imminent.
When the Hammers pulled out of the transfer deal, Duran was left with egg on his face, having to return to Bodymoor Heath to explain himself to his employers.
As a result, Duran has no interest in joining the Hammers, with the bonds of trust now broken.
