We’re less than one month away from the theatrical release of Paddington in Peru, the most-hyped film to date since Return of the Jedi.
With that in mind, let’s revist one of my favourite twitter handles out there which photoshops Paddington into a film, movie or pop culture reference until they forget. Here’s a recent one I liked:
And that is exactly how I feel about Paddington in Peru.
I think the basic premise of the latest installment of trilogy is that Paddington returns to Peru to visit Aunt Lucy, who now lives at the supposed “Home for Retired Bears”. Bringing his adopted Brown family along, they embark on an adventure when “a mystery plunges them into an unexpected journey”, according to IMDB’s synopsis.
It should be common knowledge that Paddington 2 is one of the greatest movies of all time (and that is written without irony).
That puts a lot of pressure on Paddington in Peru, kind of like how The Godfather 3 had to follow The Godfather Part 2.
Nevertheless, I cannot wait for this film to come out and to see what exploits Paddington and the Browns are up to.
