When Bayern Munich left-back pulled up lame with an injury just before halftime, it set off an unfortunate turn of events that saw the team enter the locker room down two goals and well on their way to losing 3-0 to Feyenoord in the Champions League.
Even with the poor performance during the loss, some fans were more concerned with how Davies was doing after the match. Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl was there to provide an update and while it is not serious, it could be enough to keep that Canadian down for a spell.
“It’s muscular. Nothing major, but it’s probably enough to require a break for now,” Eberl told Sky (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
That could leave Bayern Munich in a jam. Given how poor Raphaël Guerreiro played filling in for Davies, Vincent Kompany might have to get creative to fill the void.
