I write a lot of words on this blog dot com about Tottenham Hotspur. Sometimes too many. So it probably behooves me to not say too much about the video embedded in the header image above. Tottenham went to Germany and got a critical away win in the Europa League tonight, and afterwards James Maddison gave a really thoughtful and insightful interview about what it meant.
He singles out Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall for their performances as “young lads,” talks about how difficult the injury situation is, as well as the relentlessness of the schedule, and the leadership of not only himself and Sonny, but also players like Ben Davies and Rodrigo Bentancur. And he notes how difficult and rare it is to win away matches in European competition.
Yeah. I’m already writing too much about it. You should really just shut up and watch the video interview, because it’s really good and it shows how much this win and this club means to the Spurs players.
