Tottenham have enquired about Ajax Amsterdam striker Brian Brobbey
Tottenham Hotspur have yet to add an outfield player during this winter window but remain eager to secure a forward before the transfer deadline on 3 February.
Injuries to Dominic Solanke, Timo Werner, Brennan Johnson and Wilson Odobert have significantly depleted Ange Postecoglou’s frontline, and the chiefs at the Hotspur Way are expected to find solutions to their injury crisis as quickly as possible.
Fabrizio Romano claimed earlier this week that the North Londoners are “privately working” on a forward signing and exploring the market to strengthen the Australian’s attacking unit. Now, as per the transfer news guru, Tottenham have stepped up their interest in Ajax striker Brian Brobbey.

He has posted on his official X account about Spurs asking for the Dutchman’s loan conditions. West Ham United are already in direct talks with Ajax for Brian Brobbey’s loan plus obligation deal.
Ange Postecoglou’s need for a striker has been further accentuated following the injury to Dominic Solanke, who is set to be out until mid-March. The English striker has joined Brennan Johnson, Timo Werner and Wilson Odobert on the sidelines, leaving Postecoglou with only two senior forwards in Richarlison and Son Heung-min.
This has seen the Lilywhites enquire about Brian Brobbey, who is already in talks with West Ham over a potential move to the London Stadium. A product of Ajax’s famed youth academy, Brobbey has scored 52 goals and supplied 26 assists in 148 senior appearances thus far. He endured a forgettable spell with RB Leipzig, where the striker failed to score in 14 appearances before returning to Amsterdam.

This season, however, has not gone as per plan for the Netherlands international. He has only scored three times in 29 appearances across all competitions, including just one strike in nine Eredivisie starts, leading Ajax to make Brobbey available for transfer this month.
More Tottenham Hotspur News:
Tottenham perhaps are planning behind the scenes to hijack West Ham’s pursuit of Brobbey after missing out on Randal Kolo Muani to Juventus. At 22, the Ajax attacker is still very young despite having gained extensive experience playing in the Eredivisie and European competitions. The ex-RB Leipzig man could be a decent option to bolster Big Ange’s offensive unit whilst immediately replacing the injured Solanke at the tip of Tottenham’s attack.
That being said, Spurs must do everything possible to beat West Ham to Brobbey’s signature.
