Everton are closing in on Almeria striker El Bilal Toure after late-night talks, sources have told Football Insider.
The Merseysiders are trying to convince the 21-year-old to sign amid competition from Atalanta.
Toure is expected to make up his mind in the next hours on the proposal on the table from Everton.
Negotiations are advancing but a deal is not yet done as Everton look to make the forward their third summer capture following Ashley Young and Arnaut Danjuma.
The Toffees confirmed the signing on Danjuma on a season-long loan from Villarreal after he snubbed the Goodison Park side in favour of Tottenham in the January window.
Young joined Sean Dyche’s side on a free transfer following the expiration of his Aston Villa contract and put pent to paper on a one-year deal.
Traore’s current contract at Almeria runs until 2028 after joining from Stade Reims last September.
The Mali international made 22 appearances for the Spanish side across all competitions last season and was in the starting lineup for 15 of those outings.
Despite missing a number of weeks due to a muscle injury towards the end of the season, the striker netted seven goals and provided two assists in La Liga.
Dyche is in need of reinforcements up front following a relegation threatened campaign.
Current options Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Neal Maupay have been unreliable goalscorers, the former suffering numerous injuries whilst the latter struggled to make an impact on the side.
