Sports Mole takes on Master Peace for a Premier League predictions challenge in gameweek 23 of the 2023-24 season.
With the winter transfer window now in the rear-view mirror, Premier League clubs can focus on the road ahead as they quickly return to action following the midweek bonanza.
Two of the top three face off in the headline fixture on Sunday as Arsenal welcome a flying Liverpool side to the Emirates Stadium, hoping to close the gap at the top to two points.
Even a draw in that game would be enough to lift the Gunners temporarily up to second, with the current incumbent in that position Manchester City not playing until Monday night at Brentford.
Before Pep Guardiola‘s men bring the curtain down on the gameweek, Ange Postecoglou‘s Tottenham Hotspur raise it at Everton in Saturday’s early kickoff, while Brighton & Hove Albion vs. Crystal Palace is another standout fixture from the Saturday.
As well as Arsenal vs. Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United both also feature on the Sunday.
Each gameweek, Sports Mole is taking on a famous musician or band in a prediction competition, and this week it is the turn of Manchester United fan Master Peace.

Master Peace Q&A
How did you come to support Manchester United and what are your favourite memories from your time as a fan?
As long as I can remember I’ve loved music and, as a kid, the music that had the biggest cultural impact on me was the Manchester music scene. Bands such as Oasis and, of course, my favourites, The Stones Roses were such big influences on me during my youth.
I wanted to be like them… the way they spoke, the swag and rockstar energy. I wanted to be a part of that and felt like supporting the only club in Manchester (Manchester United of course) was the first check on the list.
My first and favourite memory of watching United was October 2004. Most of the kids at school were Arsenal fans and I remember them making fun of me because Arsenal had just gone the season undefeated and were champions of England.
Being the only United fan in my friendship group was tough, but the day we broke that record was the best feeling in the world. I couldn’t wait to get into school the next day – I wore my kit under my uniform!
Who have been your favourite five players for your club? (Historically or currently)
I guess they’re quite obvious answers, but my favourite United players have to be Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie, Nani and Marcus Rashford.
What’s going on for you as an artist at the moment?
2024 is definitely the biggest year of my life. My debut album, How To Make A Master Peace, is scheduled for release on March 1st, which is very important to me as it feels like the accumulation of all the hard work I’ve put into my career up until now.
We have one more single left from the campaign due in February, and then once the album is out I will be on my UK headline tour throughout March, so buy tickets and catch me on the road!
