Bayern Munich’s tradition of bringing young players into the first team has slowly but surely been revived. The likes of Jamal Musiala (sort of), Josip Stanišić and Aleksandar Pavlović were all given the chance to impress in the first team and they all took it. Heading into the 2024 pre-season, the question was when rather than if one of the youngsters would recommend themselves for the first team and who it would be. According to Sarah Wieczorek of Sky Sports, as captured by @iMiaSanMia, one of those potential winners is the Spanish left back maestro Adam Aznou:
Adam Aznou is expected to get more game time at Bayern in the future. The Moroccan is a candidate for the starting lineup in the Pokal game against [SSV] Ulm. Aznou is rated highly at the club. It is believed that he can develop into a regular starter in the future
A potential start against the 2. Bundesliga team may not be limited to a sign of faith in the youngster, as left back options look somewhat lackluster at the moment for Bayern. Hiroki Ito is injured, Raphaël Guerreiro is still easing his way back from a months long injury and Alphonso Davies only just returned to full training from vacation. But the likes of Pavlovic and Musiala could tell you that it does not matter how the opportunity is presented, but how it is taken. Such an opportunity may now be presented to the high talented former FC Barcelona youngster to show if he truly has what it takes to play for the Bavarian giants.
