Bayern Munich signee Michael Olise spent part of this week getting acclimated to life in Germany and his new club.
So, how are things going for Olise during his first few days with Bayern Munich? Let’s find out.
“Good. So far everything has been very good. I immediately felt welcome. The coach is very good,” Olise said (as captured by FCBayern.com).
Aside of his first impression, Olise gave some input on his history with Jamal Musiala.
“We played together a bit when we were younger at Chelsea. He’s a top player. I’m happy to be playing alongside him,” Olise said.
Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl is happy to see Olise hit the ground running.
“The good thing is that he’s arrived fully fit and on the back of success, even if it wasn’t a gold at the Olympics. Now it’s about getting to know his teammates and coach,” Eberrl said . He just showed at the Olympics what quality he has, even though he didn’t have an easy season last season. He’s only 22 years old but already has over 100 goal involvements. He gives us lots of variability, can play in the centre or on the wings. He’ll bring us a lot of joy.”
Where Olise fits in Vincent Kompany’s plans remains to be seen, but there are great expectations for the young attacker.
“I don’t look at the headlines or prices. That’s not important. The club wants me to do a job, and I’m here to do that,” said Olise.
