According to a report from Sport Bild journalists Christian Falk and Tobi Altschäffl, Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is planning on continuing his tenure with the German national team, but could skip the next few international breaks:
✅ According to our information, Manuel Neuer (38) wants to continue his career in the national team and return to the squad at the end of the year. The keeper of FC Bayern will take a DFB-break in September
This new will likely be well-received by the DFB, but maybe not so much by perennial goalkeeper-in-waiting, FC Barcelona star Marc-André ter Stegen. who has seemingly been waiting forever for his chance to take the reins.
