Adrien Rabiot has long been linked with a Premier League move, and it might be set to happen this summer.
The French international left Juventus earlier in the window after his contract with the Italian giants expired.
The Old Lady offered the 29-year-old a new deal, but he rejected that offer after deciding his future lay elsewhere.
And there are a few possibilities for Rabiot, with a Premier League move among the options on the cards for him and his mother/agent.
Here, talkSPORT.com looks at the contenders for his signature…
Liverpool
Liverpool are reportedly stepping up their pursuit of Rabiot.
Since leaving Juventus, he’s been considering his options and previous reports claimed his camp had reached out to the Reds.
Now, the club are said to be keeping an eye on his situation.
After missing out on Martin Zubimendi, the club are looking at the Frenchman as a potential addition to their midfield options.
Following the exit of Thiago Alcantara and Wataru Endo not seemingly in Arne Slot‘s best 11, another option is needed.
Rabiot could be that option, but he does turn 30 in April and doesn’t represent the usual age profile Liverpool go for.
His high wage demands also be a factor in determining whether the Reds do make a move.
Manchester United
Manchester United have been linked with Rabiot for a long time.
He was strongly linked to the club in Erik ten Hag‘s first transfer window in charge but a move never materialised.
The Red Devils were considered front runners for his signature at one point, with his newly free availability leading to more rumours.
But the latest reports from France claim that they have now dropped their interest in the midfielder.
L’Equipe say Man United are no longer in the race for Rabiot after spending big sums on Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee this summer.
Once again, his wages are likely to have been something getting in the way of this move happening.
Inter Milan
Staying in Italy is also an option for Rabiot this summer.
And he has been linked to both AC Milan and Inter Milan throughout the transfer window.
Inter are the latest to be rumoured with an approach as they look to bolster their midfield with Serie A experience.
He would likely be a part of a midfield three alongside Hakan Calhanoglu and Nicolo Barella if he signed.
However, no offers have been made by the Italians yet and L’Equipe report they are in no rush to get a deal done.
Bayern Munich
Similarly to Inter, Bayern Munich are keeping their eyes on Rabiot.
The German giants added former Fulham man Joao Palhinha to their midfield ranks earlier this summer.
But Vincent Kompany remains keen on adding some more experienced talent to his Bayern squad.
Again, they are said to not be rushing to secure a deal for the Frenchman considering he will be available outside of the transfer window.
