According to a report from Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg, former Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund center-back Mats Hummels is choosing between RCD Mallorca and Brighton & Hove Albion for his next club:

Plettenberg checked in later saying that Hummels was in Spain to negotiate with Mallorca:

Hummels had a great campaign in 2023/24, but needed to move on after a falling out with ex-coach Edin Terzić, who also moved on. It is conceivable that Hummels still has something to offer a good team, but he will have to ramp up his preparation to ensure he is all fit and ready to go for whoever ultimately signs him.
