Osasuna’s sporting director, Braulio Vázquez, recently shared his thoughts on the loan signing of Bryan Zaragoza from Bayern Munich, highlighting the challenges and future prospects for the young player.
Captured by @iMiaSanMia, Vázquez had the following to say: “Bayern is a monster in world football. It’s difficult to make a name for yourself there,” Vázquez remarked, acknowledging the immense competition and high standards at the German club.
He also noted that Zaragoza faced significant challenges, having moved mid-season to a team that had already established its dynamics: “The team had already played well together, the dynamic within the group was there. Added to that was the difficult new language. Everything was very difficult for him. But we never lost sight of him,” Vázquez added, showing Osasuna’s continued faith in the player.
Vázquez emphasized that Osasuna aims to restore Zaragoza to his best form through confidence-building and physical improvement. “We want to bring him back to his old strength with confidence. He also needs to improve physically in order to get back to his usual high level,” Vázquez explained, underlining the club’s focus on nurturing Zaragoza’s creative potential on the pitch.
Regarding the negotiations with Bayern, Vázquez expressed satisfaction, specifically thanking Bastian Wernscheid for his support during the discussions. He concluded with a humorous note on Zaragoza’s future at Osasuna: “No… (laughs) He would be too expensive. We have to enjoy the time with him.”
It looks like Osasuna is particularly happy with Zaragoza’s arrival at their club, all Bayern can do is hope he comes back better than he was when he left.
