Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen can look at the center-back position on the team’s roster and feel just fine about where things stand.
“I think we’re well equipped. There were discussions about (Matthijs) De Ligt’s sale. The transfer window is still open for a few days, but that doesn’t mean we have to immediately speculate again on a center-back,” Dreesen told Abendzeitung’s Maximilian Koch (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Dreesen is likely playing coy. Bayern Munich’s Kim Min-jae is battling a thigh injury, Tarek Buchmann is still not fully ready for action, and recent reports link the Bavarians to Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah once more.
Bayern Munich could be taking one last gander at its roster and realizing the center-back position might need to be bolstered.
