It seems like just yesterday when Bayern Munich’s youth staff were left absolutely baffled by then-Bayern coach Hansi Flick’s decision to ostracize Angelo Stiller from the first team in favor of Tiago Dantas. Stiller only earned extremely limited minutes before it became clear that he would not get his chance at Bayern. Less than 4 years later, the elegant midfielder has become the heartbeat of a VFB Stuttgart side that is set to compete in the Champions League and, if reports by Sport Bild, as captured by @iMiaSanMia, are to be believed, will be called up to the German national team:
Angelo Stiller is set to be called up by Julian Nagelsmann for the first time for the upcoming Nations League games against Hungary and the Netherlands.
Regardless of the fact that Stiller is no longer at his boyhood club, Bayern would still be proud to see the youngster, who joined Bayern’s academy at 9 and graduated from all the club’s youth teams, bear the honor of wearing the German national team jersey. Considering Pavlović, another youngster who rose through all of the Bavarians’ youth ranks, will likely be joining him, the upcoming international break will likely be one of pride for the FC Bayern Campus.
