Bayern Munich has spent more than it has sold in transfer fees in the summer transfer window — so far, at least, as the Bundesliga giants continue to work to reshape its squad and its balance sheet.
A report from Tz journalists Manuel Bonke and Philipp Kessler lays out the task before Bayern sporting boss Max Eberl. As captured by @iMiaSanMia:
Bayern’s supervisory board will meet on Wednesday. Max Eberl has to present his figures to the board members. Therefore, it would be a good thing for him if he could present another successful sale in time for the meeting. And since Leon Goretzka still vehemently opposes a departure, Kingsley Coman could be the one to raise further funds. Bayern and Al Hilal have an agreement in principle, but Coman’s approval is still missing as he’s not fully convinced of moving to Saudi Arabia
Coman already had two lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia last summer, but this career move was never an option for him. However, the Frenchman became aware in recent days that he no longer plays a real role in the club’s future plans. He is therefore hoping that clubs from other top European leagues will get in touch before Friday’s deadline day

Wednesday has come and gone in Germany, so time is running out for Coman to find his desired move. Goretzka looks like he is staying, and Jonathan Tah looks like he will stay put at Leverkusen or move to FC Barcelona, too.
Will Eberl be able to count this window as a success? And will the reportedly budget-conscious supervisory board see it the same way?
