One year after moving to Bayern Munich from the Premier League, top striker Harry Kane is still searching for his first trophy.
On an individual level, the former Tottenham Hotspur man did not miss a beat in the Bundesliga, bagging 36 league goals and giving Robert Lewandowski’s single-season scoring record a run for the money. He was honored in a ceremony on Tuesday with the 2024 Golden Shoe as Europe’s most prolific scorer — but there is more on his mind than that.
“From a personal point of view, to continue to score and help the team. But the main objective is to win trophies, to get Bayern back to winning trophies,” the England captain said in a recent interview (captured by HaytersTV, via @iMiaSanMia). “That’s the goal for me, for our team and for this club. It will be tough, but we have a great manager, fresh energy and a lot of intensity. I’m really excited for that.”
It will be a new system for Kane and his teammates in 2024/25. Can the Englishman take an even bigger step in year two in Germany?
