According to a report from Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg, RB Leipzig is seeking to make a move that could upset the structure of the Bundesliga and put Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund, and VfB Stuttgart on full notice.
RB Leipzig wants to bring Benfica center-back António Silva, which would fortify the squad’s backline in a big way:
More on António #Silva X RB Leipzig: ⤵️
▫️RB in direct contact with the player‘s management (Jorge Mendes)
▫️And there’s also contact between Leipzig/@SLBenfica
▫️Proposal was made as reported.
⚠️RB Leipzig have received information, there’s a serious chance to sign Silva until Deadline Day ✔️
A lot now depends on Mohamed Simakan (Al-Nassr, Newcastle…). But there is also discussion about signing Silva in addition.
Would this move have the same kind of impact that Granit Xhaka-to-Bayer Leverkusen did?
