Bayern Munich star Thomas Müller has seen his fair share of Champions League draws, but this year, it is a little bit different.
The UCL has a new format, which will see Bayern Munich participate in what is now called the Champions League — League Phase, rather than the Group Stage. As clunky as it might sounds, the draw did produce some interesting match-ups for Bayern Munich, which we covered here.
While FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are the standout fixtures, Aston Villa and Benfica could be very intriguing match-ups for the Bavarians. Here is what Müller had to say about the opportunity to see old friends like Hansi Flick and Robert Lewandowski once again:
