Are Bayern Munich and Real Madrid eyeing one another’s players for a move next summer? Maybe, per one report:
Now, Fichajes reports that there may be a direct swap of players between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in the summer of 2025 with there being no money involved.
Real Madrid plan on signing Davies when his contract expires at the end of the season and in turn, Bayern Munich could move to land Los Blancos’ goalkeeper, Andriy Lunin.
The Ukrainian international is out of contract next year like Davies and has his mind set on leaving as a free agent, despite having a five-year contract renewal offer on the table.
Bayern Munich would likely need a new goalkeeper next year with Manuel Neuer in the final phase of his career and Lunin would be an option for them, considering that there had been interest in him in the past.
As such, there could be an arrangement where Davies and Lunin end up swapping clubs for free, provided neither of them signs a new contract with their current teams.
Most are expecting Davies to make the jump to Real Madrid next summer as it is considered a foregone conclusion by both fanbases. Lunin, however, would be a shock to most Bayern Munich fans.
That kind of move for Lunin seems unlikely for the Bavarians, though, given the club’s investment in players like Alexander Nübel and Daniel Peretz. As of now, it still looks like this kind of “swap” would really just be a one-way move for Davies.
According to a report from Sport Bild’s Christian Falk and Tobi Altschäffl, Bayern Munich’s supervisory board determined that the club could not pursue Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah without selling Kingsley Coman first:
Following yesterday’s meeting, Bayern’s supervisory board decided that further transfers would only be made after completing a sale. That’s why Eberl and Freund are currently working intensively on selling Kingsley Coman in order to proceed with a move for Jonathan Tah,
There have been other rumors floating around that some members of the supervisory board were not convinced on Tah. Has that changed or does the center-back situation look more dire than it previously did?
Bayern Munich’s season in fully underway.
The summer transfer window is almost over, the DFB-Pokal and Bundesliga both kicked off, and now the Champions League draw has taken place. When you factor in that the German national team also made its call-ups, there is plenty to talk about. So, let’s get to it. This is what we have on tap for this edition of the Bavarian Podcast Works — Weekend Warm-up Show:
- INNN and Chuck break down Bayern Munich’s Champions League draw. Do we like the format? What do we think about the match-ups? PSG and FC Barcelona — again? Oh, the humanity — and subplots!
- Julian Nagelsmann made his latest call-ups to the German national team? Who won, who lost? Why so few Bayern Munich players?
- Bayern Munich is in the final few days of the summer transfer window — what will happen with Kingsley Coman and Jonathan Tah? Should Bayern Munich take a flier on Mats Hummels?
This might be as close to a transfer as Victor Osimhen has actually been:
Victor Osimhen saga open with Al Ahli and Chelsea in talks with Napoli/player.
Chelsea are still in talks with Osimhen about salary, ready to offer loan with OBLIGATION to buy.

Napoli took some precautions for an Osimhen departure by bringing in Romelu Lukaku:
Finally, Chelsea FC could be the leader in the clubhouse to finally land Osimhen.
Mo Salah’s future at Liverpool FC is uncertain at best…and he knows it:

Bayern Munich is set to host SC Freiburg in its first home game of the Bundesliga season.
The Bavarians are coming off of a nerve-wracking 3-2 win over Wolfsburg, in a match that was probably a lot closer than it needed to be. Matchday 2 should present a less challenging obstacle in SC Freiburg, who is a club in transition.
As we know, though, what should happen and what will happen often do not align. Die Breisgau-Brasilianer stifled VfB Stuttgart last weekend, can it do the same to Bayern Munich?
We’ll see. This is what we have on tap for this edition of the Bavarian Podcast Works — Preview Show:
- Where do things stand after Matchday 1?
- What to watch for with SC Freiburg.
- A look at Bayern Munich’s injury situation.
- A guess at Bayern Munich’s starting XI.
- A prediction on the match.
On Thursday, rumors started to float that Sergio Ramos had inked a deal with Al-Orobah FC in Saudi Arabia:
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano disputed the story and said that Ramos was still exploring his options:
It remains to be seen if something gets worked out between Ramos and the Saudi club.
The life-changing money must far too hard to turn down for these players. RB Leipzig’s Mohamed Simakan is being courted heavily by Al-Nassr:

… and RB Leipzig informed about it.
Newcastle and Liverpool, still there. But Al-Nassr is the most concrete option at this stage.
