We have already reached the first break of the campaign only three games into the new Premier League season.
There will be no top-flight games over the next couple of weeks following on from Liverpool‘s 3-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Here, talkSPORT.com takes a look at why we’re missing fixtures and when the action is set to return…
Why is there no Premier League this weekend?
The Premier League has been forced into an early break this weekend due to the upcoming international football.
The Nations League is set to get started and that means a hiatus for the top-flight.
Just like last season, the first internationals were scheduled for early September and there are now two weeks off.
Players will be jetting off to join their national teams and begin the new Nations League campaign.
A large chunk of Premier League stars will be featuring for England as they take on the Republic of Ireland and Finland.
Both of the Three Lions’ games will be live on talkSPORT and presented by Adrian Durham.
Commentary of the fixtures will come from Jim Proudfoot and former England captain Stuart Pearce.
