Before acquiring Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur, Bayern Munich was rumored to be kicking the tires on striker Benjamin Šeško.
Since then, Šeško has gone on to prove himself at RB Leipzig and might — once again — be on the radar of Bayern Munich:
According to TEAMtalk, Arsenal have a good chance of signing RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko ahead of Manchester United and Bayern Munich next summer.
The Gunners were keen on landing the Slovenia international last summer, but he decided to stay with Leipzig instead. The 21-year-old ended up penning a new long-term contract with the Bundesliga outfit.
This has not ended the speculation regarding his future and TEAMtalk claim that manager Mikel Arteta remains keen on bringing a top-class striker to the club to compete with Liverpool and Manchester City.
Arsenal hold a strong interest in Sesko in particular. The reports suggests the Gunners have an edge over Man United and Bayern, having held talks with the players camp where they made it clear they can offer him the best playing time going forward in his career.
Life is all about timing. If Kane decides to head back to England before his contract expires, a player like Šeško could be very appealing. However, it remains to be seen what happens with Kane and his career timeline.
While not something that needed to be immediately monitored, it could be a story to watch for the future.
FC Barcelona still owes Bayern Munich €10 million on the transfer deal for Robert Lewandowski, but the Bavarians are not the only creditor hoping to get paid soon:
Barcelona still owe over €100m to clubs for transfer dealings in recent years. They still need to pay Leeds United €42.5m for Raphinha and another €26m to Manchester City for Ferran Torres.
Even when Bayern Munich is on a break, there are ample subjects to talk about.
We will definitely tackle some hot topics brewing in Bavaria, but the German national team is also looking like things are clicking under Julian Nagelsmann, so let’s hop right into some chatter about why things are going so well at the moment:
- Julian Nagelsmann’s Germany is — gasp! — inspiring. The former Bayern Munich boss is really connecting with this group and something special could be brewing for 2026.
- Dissecting those Matthijs de Ligt rumors. Did Bayern Munich let him go because he was making too much money…or because he was spending too much time pumping iron in the gym? Or…are these stories just nonsense being floated out there?
- Details on a deal between Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies and Real Madrid have leaked. Will the Bavarians be able to match what Real Madrid is offering the Canadian star? Do they even want to? Let’s discuss.
Bayern Munich, Manchester City, and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly all going to do battle for AC Milan left-back Theo Hernandez:
Manchester City will reportedly compete with Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain for 27-year-old AC Milan full-back Theo Hernandez.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Theo Hernandez is the subject of interest from Manchester City. The Premier League champions are scouring the market for a left-back and have set their sights on the AC Milan star. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on signing the 27-year-old from the Serie A club.
This is not the first time Bayern Munich has been linked to Hernandez. During the summer — when it was uncertain whether or not Alphonso Davies would make a move to Real Madrid — Bayern Munich was said to be in talks with the Frenchman. Now, though, reality is hitting that Davies is likely to leave on a free transfer next summer and the club might not have another player ready to be the kind of player the team needs for the position.
Raphaël Guerreiro might not be a starting-caliber player for 2025/26, Hiroki Ito could end up playing center-back, and Adam Aznou is talented, but might need more seasoning.
Manchester City is still smarting from the loss of Rodri to a season-ending injury. The club is still reportedly very interested in Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi:
Manchester City are keen on Real Sociedad midfielder Martín Zubimendi, says Relevo.
The Premier League club are reported to see the 25-year-old as a potential option to replace Rodri after he was ruled out for the season with an injury, and it is said that they are now lining up a swoop for his Spain international compatriot in January.
Zubimendi has a release clause in his contract that allows him to be signed for €60 million. Liverpool triggered the figure in the summer but he opted to stay with the LaLiga side.
Well, that was easy. While it wasn’t a 5-0 drubbing like the Hungary game during the last international break, Julian Nagelsmann’s Germany side demonstrated their superiority while barely allowing Bosnia and Herzegovina an inch.
In this episode, we discuss the following:
- The lineup that Julian Nagelsmann picked, and the absence of a certain Bayern Munich player.
- Deniz Undav may be the striker that Germany are looking for.
- How a terrible pitch kept Germany from playing their game.
- Why you can say “a win’s a win” after this one.
- Alexander Nübel didn’t exactly cover himself in glory, but that’s not the point.
- Why games like these clog up the calendar and are simply ridiculous.
Manchester United might continue its striker carousel and make a move for Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani:
Manchester United are putting together a £58.6m (€70m) bid for Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani despite signing Joshua Zirkzee this past summer.
FC Barcelona could be contemplating another loan move for Ansu Fati:
Sevilla are keen on a loan move for Barcelona forward Ansu Fati, reports Sport. Talks will take place in the coming weeks between the 21-year-old’s representatives and the Blaugrana, who could be open to moving him on when the transfer window opens in January. He has made just two appearances this season when coming on as a substitute during Champions League clashes against AS Monaco and Young Boys.
Paris Saint-Germain could turn to Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson to help the team’s perceived goalkeeping woes:
Luis Enrique is unhappy with Paris Saint-Germain’s current goalkeeping options and the club has targeted Man City star Ederson as a potential upgrade on Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Well, Bayern Munich is on break, so that means that the German national team takes center stage for the time being.
What better way to dive into what is going on with the squad and its preparation for the upcoming games than with the Bavarian Podcast Works — Preview Show?
