Ruud van Nistelrooy has left Manchester United, the club have confirmed.
The former striker returned to Old Trafford in the summer as an assistant to Erik ten Hag.
He later became interim manager following his compatriot’s departure last month.
However, despite not losing any of his four matches in charge, Van Nistelrooy will not be part of Ruben Amorim’s coaching team.
The Portuguese travelled to the UK on Monday and was later pictured at the club’s training base at Carrington.
