Bayern Munich had some trouble dealing with FC Augsburg’s low block during its 3-0 win over the visitors.
Playing against a team committed to mucking up a game with its compact structure is not easy, and midfielder Joshua Kimmich gave credit to his team for its relentless approach and its composure in dealing with a frustrating situation.
“It took us long to score today but we absolutely dominated the game and didn’t concede any chances. We didn’t lose our calm and knew that Augsburg will eventually open up because they invested a lot and it’s very tough to keep that up for 90 minutes,” said Kimmich (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Kimmich is correct, Bayern Munich was dominant. FC Augsburg offered nary a threat to really make the home side sweat, but it was not an easy win by any means. Kimmich and his mates had to battle and were able to prove — once again — why they are so feared in the Bundesliga.
