Bayern Munich and German national team wonderkid Jamal Musiala is growing into the big shoes he is destined to fill for club and country. The 21-year-old opened up about his growing role in the national side and his eagerness to take on greater responsibility.
In a recent interview with RedaktionsNetzwerk Deutschland (as captured by @iMiaSanMia) Musiala said, “The EUROs were really good, for us as a team and also for me personally. We can take a lot for the remaining Nations League games and the 2026 World Cup. I have made big steps and taken on a bigger role at DFB.”
At the EUROs, Musiala had started all five games for Die Mannschaft and scored three goals. Despite losing to eventual champions Spain, the DFB team had shown plenty of promise under Julian Nagelsmann’s. In the UEFA Nations League, Musiala has had five goal involvements in four games so far and has helped Germany reach the quarter-finals. Going up against Italy in that fixture, Musiala’s wizardry will be crucial to get past the Italian defence.
