West Ham United might just be presented with a fantastic opportunity to sign a top-class player, after a claim made about Liverpool’s transfer plans.
Julen Lopetegui and Arne Slot are both expected to be busy during the next couple of transfer windows at West Ham and Liverpool respectively.
Both the Hammers and the Reds are said to want to bolster their centre-forward ranks.
However, it must be said that Lopetegui needs a proven striker at the London Stadium more urgently than Slot does at Anfield.
The signing of Niclas Fullkrug simply hasn’t worked out, and Lopetegui has been forced to rely on 34-year-old Michail Antonio.
As good as the Jamaica international has been for the Hammers, he’s well past his best now.
And according to one report, West Ham might just have a great chance to finally sort out our centre-forward problems once and for all.
West Ham could seal Omar Marmoush deal after Liverpool claim
Omar Marmoush is someone who is said to on the radars of both the Hammers and the Reds.
West Ham were dealt somewhat of a blow last month when it emerged that Marmoush, 25, is dreaming of joining Liverpool.
However, it now seems like the Hammers might still have a chance of signing the Egyptian.
According to a report from The Athletic, Liverpool sources have rejected suggestions that they’ve made contract with Eintracht Frankfurt about signing the scintillating 25-year-old forward.
So the window could well be open for the Hammers to bring Marmoush to the London Stadium.
Marmoush continues to light up the Bundesliga with Eintracht Frankfurt, with 15 goals and 11 assists to his name in just 18 games this season.
He possesses exceptional pace, terrific movement, and is as good in front of goal as he is teeing up his teammates.
The Eintracht Frankfurt forward is incredibly durable as well.
In my opinion, the Egypt international possesses all of the attributes needed to succeed in the Premier League.
Omar Marmoush would be a superb signing for West Ham, and considering Liverpool’s alleged stance on making a move for him, we might just have a good chance of making it happen.
