Bayern Munich continue to march on as they continue to their rich vein of form as they travel to North-Rhine Westphalia to take on Borussia Dortmund in this season’s first edition of Der Klassiker. The Bavarians would normally go into this matchup as heavy favorites to win but that has changed in recent memory as this is a rather unpredictable Dortmund side.

This gives us a good idea as to how Vincent Kompany can field his players, but he’s most likely going to field the same lineup he trotted out against Paris Saint-Germain. Harry Kane will lead the front row supported by Leroy Sané, Jamal Musiala, and Michael Olisé behind him; Kingsley Coman should not touch the field as he is in the middle of a rut. Joshua Kimmich and Leon “We still want to offload him” Goretzka will be the midfield duo, and a back-line of Alphonso “I don’t know where I’ll go in summer 2025, but it’s probably Real Madrid” Davies, the newfound solid defensive partnership of Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min-jae, and Raphaël Guerreiro starting in front of Manuel Neuer, who completed more dribbles than PSG’s wingers the whole game.
Meanwhile, Tz released their predicted lineups for both teams:
What do you think is the most likely lineup that Kompany will use? Would you make any changes to either team? Let us know in the comments! While you’re here, why not check out our preview show? Listen to it below or on Spotify (click on this balloon to redirect you to the platform).
