Antony has been included in the latest BBC Team of the Week, following his display vs Wolves on Saturday.
Manchester United Football Club are now two wins away from securing Champions League football, following a 2-0 victory over Wolves on Saturday.
Erik ten Hag’s side were always on top during that game at Old Trafford, though failure to stick the ball in the back of the net almost became an issue yet again. Credit to the lads, who kept working hard and eventually ran out winners.
In terms of chance creation, Antony was at the heart of everything. Be it his trademark left-footed curling shot, or driving runs to make openings for teammates, the Brazil international absolutely felt like United’s best hope.
Eventually, Antony would end the game with an assist, gifting Anthony Martial a chance as the first half drew to a close.
For his display, Antony became the sole United star named in the latest BBC Team of the Week, which was heavily dominated by Brighton players, as you’d expect.

Antony’s display was certainly an intriguing one. Sure, he created plenty of opportunities, those often, that final decision made was infuriating. Sometimes, he’s too selfish, others, he’ll play the wrong ball. That decision making will improve over time. Let’s not forget this is his first season in England and he’s still so young.
I still firmly believe United are better with Antony in the team. He works had on both sides of the ball, is always positive in possession and constantly looking to make things happen. He also helps out on the defensive side of things, which is key to any Ten Hag player.
No doubt Antony will continue to grow and learn over the next couple of years, too. He’s loving being here in Manchester. We supporters love him too.
Congratulations, Antony!
