Ethan Galbraith has confirmed his Man United exit via a heartfelt social media post.
Manchester United Football Club release players every year. It never gets easier seeing these young guys moved on, particularly when you’ve followed their careers from youth level, onwards.
Last week, we learned of five players who’d be let go this summer. The big names were Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe, though Ethan Galbraith’s name also popped up.
The 22-year-old midfielder from Northern Ireland has now confirmed his exit this summer, via a heartfelt social media post. He’d thank the coaching staff and fellow teammates for their support, while also showing excitement for what is next.
Galbraith can leave Old Trafford with his head held high. Spending six years at the biggest club in the country is a testament to his skill level and natural ability. Now it’s about plotting for the future.
Check out Ethan Galbraith’s tweet here:
The man from Northern Ireland spent this season with Salford City, playing 38 games for the League Two club, who are currently battling in the play-offs. Galbraith was a massive part of that.
There can be no doubt that the midfielder will have plenty of offers available. I’d suspect some Premier League clubs will be showing an interest, with a view to loaning out Galbraith at a higher level next season. This is just our best guesswork. We have no inside information on the midfielder right now.
It’s all about sitting down with his family and representatives, ensuring that the next move is the right one. This can genuinely make or break his career. Galbraith needs to go somewhere that’ll offer him regular starts, so he can showcase his talents week-in-week-out.
Best of luck, Ethan!
