Our predicted MUFC XI for the Premier League away game vs Bournemouth is now in.
Two wins from three. That’s what’s required for Manchester United to secure their place in next season’s Champions League. Erik ten Hag has managed this side wonderfully-well, though it’ll all be for nothing unless the Red Devils close out the deal.
Away games have been a real problem this season. There’s simply no getting away from that. A game against Bournemouth should be viewed as an opportunity to put that right, ending our away campaign on a high with a vital three points.
The game itself should be intriguing. United have infinitely more to play for than their opponents, though Bournemouth will not simply roll over. The lads still have to go out there and win the game.
In terms of team news, Marcus Rashford was spotted back in training earlier in the week, though he’s picked up an illness and remains doubtful. We reckon he’ll probably start this one amongst the substitutes. Anyway, let’s get right into the all-important team news in full.
Check out our predicted MUFC XI vs Bournemouth in full here:
David de Gea’s less-than-convincing form doesn’t place his spot in the team in doubt due to the lack of quality options. That may change next season. He starts here.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka continues to play well in the right-back position. It’d be cruel to bench him here. Over on the left, Luke Shaw gets the nod. Raphael Varane is back fit. He will play alongside Victor Lindelof.
Casemiro will have benefitted from the full week of rest, with the Brazilian set to start alongside Christian Eriksen at the heart of midfield. Bruno Fernandes will captain this United side from that number ten position.
Anthony Martial will lead the line. The Frenchman needs a big display here. You can argue he’s playing for a spot in the squad next term. To his right and left respectively is Antony and Jadon Sancho. Both have the quality. Both have been inconsistent. Let’s hope they turn up hungry to drive their team to a positive result.
