Man United have a couple of players named in the latest BBC Team of the Week after their win over Bournemouth.
One point. That’s all Manchester United need in order to secure their place in the top four. Win both their remaining games and the Reds will actually finish third.
Erik ten Hag’s side have now won two on the spin, grinding out a 1-0 victory away at Bournemouth over the weekend. It has been a tough slog on the road this term, though the lads managed to stick it out for a huge victory.
The game itself wasn’t pretty. United didn’t look too threatening in the final third, with the result built upon defensive excellence and midfield control.
For their individual performances, a United duo have been named in the latest BBC Team of the Week by Garth Crooks. Both Victor Lindelof and Casemiro were included in the XI. Rightly so, too!

To his credit, Lindelof has been exceptional since stepping into the side. Whether it’s because he’s no longer beside Harry Maguire, or due to the fact he’s now being coached far better, remains to be seen. The Ice Man looks like someone who could start matches at the highest level on a regular basis.
He’s a good passer out from the back. Solid in the air. A leader back there and excellent positionally. All his qualities were on display against Bournemouth. Lindelof, at times, kept the Cherries at bay.
What else is there left to say about Casemiro? The Brazilian scored an outrageous goal to send United on their way, but the overall performance was the most-pleasing.
He looked back to his brilliant self in the defensive aspect. Winning the ball back time and time again, before getting United moving in the right direction. Perhaps he’s benefitting from the one game a week, rather than playing every midweek too.
Congratulations, lads!
