Chelsea’s president of business Tom Glick ‘is likely to leave the club after just 10 months due to Chris Jurasek’s arrival’… with the Premier League giants ‘refusing to comment on whether the former Man City chief has resigned already’
- Glick is set to leave his role as Chelsea’s president of business after 10 months
- He will reportedly leave the club following the appointment of Chris Jurasek
- Todd Boehly has reportedly appointed Jurasek as the club’s new chief executive
Chelsea‘s upheaval continues as Tom Glick is set to leave his role as the club’s president of business after just 10 months, according to reports.
Glick, who was previously Manchester City’s chief commercial and operating officer, joined Chelsea in July 2022 under the club’s new owners.
Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital placed Glick in charge of managing the club’s global commercial strategy, driving revenue growth and enhancing fan engagement.
However, Glick – who was the chief executive of Derby County before leaving for Man City – could be set to leave Stamford Bridge after just 10 months.
According to The Times, Glick will leave the club this summer following the arrival of Chris Jurasek as their new chief executive.

Chelsea are currently sitting 12th in the Premier League table after a disappointing season
Chelsea chairman Todd Boehly is reportedly looking to bring in a new CEO at Stamford Bridge
Sportsmail previously reported that Boehly wanted to parachute in an ally from his business empire to solve the club’s issues.
The billionaire US tycoon wanted to make big changes to the backroom team to help ease the crisis and felt a new chief executive was the answer.
According to reports, Boehly and the board have hired Jurasek – who worked at Clearlake Capital, which fronted the takeover alongside the American.
Jurasek is said to be taking charge of the commercial side of the club. Therefore, it is likely that Glick will leave the Premier League giants.
When asked on Tuesday whether Glick had stepped down from his role at the club, Chelsea officials refused to comment – according to The Times.
Prior to joining Manchester City in 2012, Glick was chief executive of Derby County for a four year spell before leaving for the current Premier League champions.
Glick also worked with the New Jersey Nets and the NBA before overseeing the creation of Major League Soccer’s Charlotte Football Club.
Before joining Chelsea, Glick was also the president of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers franchise and served on the Football League Board, the FA Council, and the Professional Game Board.

Mauricio Pochettino will also arrive this summer to take over as the club’s new head coach
Glick’s appointment in 2022 came after Bruce Buck (the club’s former chairman), Marina Granovskaia (sporting director), Petr Cech (technical and performance advisor) and Guy Lawrence (chief executive) all left following the takeover.
Therefore, Glick took over the day-to-day running of the club – replacing Granovskaia – and took charge of the club’s commercial strategy to replace Lawrence.
However, it appears Chelsea’s hierarchy is set to undergo another overhaul this summer with Glick out the door and Jurasek in.
Mauricio Pochettino will also arrive this summer to take over as the club’s new head coach after Frank Lampard stepped in to take temporary charge following Graham Potter’s sacking.
