Luton Town close to agreeing a deal for Manchester City defender Issa Kabore – with right-back set to go on fourth loan in as many seasons since arriving at the Etihad
Luton are poised to make their sixth addition of the window with the arrival of Manchester City full-back Issa Kabore.
The 22-year-old, who is yet to make a first team appearance for Pep Guardiola‘s side, is close to joining the newly-promoted outfit on loan.
Kabore has become accustomed to loan spells in recent seasons having popped up at Mechelen, Troyes and most recently at Marseille since joining Man City in 2020.
The defender made 29 appearances in Ligue 1 for the French club in the last campaign and scored his first senior goal.
The right-back has also earned 28 caps for Burkina Faso and was named Best Young Player at the African Nations Cup in 2021.

The Hatters have been busy in the market as they prepare for their first season in the top-flight in more than 30 years.
Rob Edwards’ side earlier completed the signing of Aston Villa midfielder Marvelous Nakamba on a three-year deal.
The 29-year-old enjoyed a successful loan spell at Kenilworth Road at the end of last season, helping the Hatters’ secure promotion to the Premier League.
He joined Chiedozie Ogbene, Mads Andersen and Tahith Chong who have all arrived at the club in this window.
