- Manchester City targeting Inter star Nicolo Barella if Bernardo Silva makes exit
- Silva has been linked with moves to both Barcelona and PSG this summer
- Inter would want significant fee for Italian that would match Delcan Rice price
Manchester City could turn their attention to Nicolo Barella if Bernardo Silva does leave the Etihad this summer.
Silva remains at the centre of speculation that he will leave Man City in this window, having helped the club win a historic treble last season.
Both Barcelona and PSG remain long-term admirers of the Portuguese international and would like to sign Silva, while the 28-year-old has also been the subject of interest from Saudi Arabian clubs, too.
City are reluctant to sell one of their key players, and have offered Silva a new deal to stay at the club. However, according to Tuttomercato are targeting Barella as a possible replacement if Silva does leave.
The Italian, who played against Pep Guaridola’s men in June’s Champions League Final, is a different type of player to that of Silva, but the City boss remains a fan of the 26-year-old.

Silva has been the subject of interest of PSG and Barcelona as well as bids from Saudi clubs
If City do decide to pursue Barella, the report suggests that Inter would be looking for a similar fee to what the Citizens were bidding for Declan Rice.
Which would mean the Italian club would be looking for an offer of around £90m to prize one of the their star assets away from the San Siro.
Industrious midfielder Barella played 52 times for Inter last season and is a regular in Roberto Mancini’s Italian set-up – including being part of the Italian’s triumph at Euro 2020.
City have so far added Mateo Kovacic to their ranks and could seal a deal for Josko Gvardiol
So far this summer, City have already boosted their midfield ranks with the signing of Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea, having seen skipper Ilkay Gundogan end his association with the club with a move to Barcelona.
City will also see Riyad Mahrez end his spell in Manchester, with the winger set to complete a £30m move to Saudi club Al-Ahli.
The Premier League champions are also looking to finalise a deal to bring centre-back Josko Gvardiol to the club.
A club-record £90m fee has been agreed with RB Leipzig and the Croatian looks set to join the club imminently.
