Pep Guardiola has told Barcelona to make a ‘proper offer’ if they want to sign Man City star Bernardo Silva this summer.
Reports have claimed that the Portuguese midfielder ‘would try and force an exit’ from Man City if Barcelona made a bid for him this summer as he is ‘keen to move’ to the Spanish giants.
City have yet to receive an offer from the LaLiga champions for the 28-year-old, but Guardiola wouldn’t stand in his way if he wants to leave the club, and if they receive an acceptable offer.
Addressing Barcelona’s interest in Silva, City’s treble-winning manager said: ‘I want to clarify this as I know reports in Barcelona make up what I say. I don’t want any players who don’t want to be here.
‘I want to work with guys who want to stay and work with us. Some players feel they want a new experience. I will not be the guy who says ‘no’ — but they have to make an agreement with the club.

Pep Guardiola though has warned Barcelona they would need to make a ‘proper offer’ for Silva
‘Make a deal and it happens. But we have to get a proper offer.
‘If we don’t get a proper offer, he’s our player and we want him.
‘If they want him, they will come here and talk to our sporting director and CEO to make a deal.’
Mundo Deportivo have reported that Barcelona will make Silva their ‘priority’ this summer.
It was claimed on Friday that a move would be ‘practically impossible’ unless Barcelona make a major sale.

Ousmane Dembele is soon expected to be confirmed as a Paris Saint-Germain player while Franck Kessie could be the next player to leave Barcelona, with the midfielder set to join Al-Ahli for £13million.
Barcelona hope that if Kylian Mbappe leaves Paris Saint-Germain then there will be an ‘explosion’ in the transfer market which could lead to them being able to sell some of their players.
Silva has enjoyed great success at the Etihad since arriving from Monaco in 2017 for £43m. He has made over 300 appearances for the club, netting 55 goals.
