Man United are looking to sell Noam Emeran on a permanent deal.
Manchester United are moving in a different direction under Erik ten Hag. There’s a real ruthless streak to this manager, something which is new for many players at this club.
However, selling senior players who are on massive wages is becoming a genuine problem for the Old Trafford side. Moving on youngsters with talent is proving much easier, just as Zidane Iqbal and Charlie Savage about that.
Next up on the chopping block is Noam Emeran. The young winger actually had a pretty good pre-season for the senior side. Little did we know, Ten Hag was putting him in the shop window…
Journalist Luca Bendoni now says United are ‘close to reaching an agreement’ over the sale of the 20-year-old winger. The Reds are in talks with Dutch side, Gronigen, over a permanent transfer.
Check out Luca Bendoni’s tweet here:
Emeran did look good during his appearances over the summer. However, you struggle to find a way into the mix for the young man. There’s so much depth in that position right now and he’s pretty far down the pecking order.
Although it would be sad to see him leave, you can absolutely understand the decision. Emeran has massive ability and a move to the Dutch league would allow him to play regular football, which would be good for his career in the long run.
From a United standpoint, the transfer cost is probably now as high as it ever will be if they’re not planning on using Emeran on a regular basis this summer.
Even if it’s just a million or two, Emeran’s sale does make sense the more you think about it. I’d be surprised if the club manage to earn that sort of money from a sale, though. They’ve struggled in that regard for many years.
