good morning everyone!
Who else here loved seeing Man United get battered by Bournemouth over the weekend? And only days after they took three away from Chelsea. Gotta love it.
Speaking of Man United – former star player Wayne Rooney has been having an abysmal time at Birmingham.
Since Rooney has taken over, Birmingham have won just one game out of eight (1-2-6). No other club in the Championship has had such a poor record since October 11.
Even Sheffield Wednsesday, a club that was winless in October, have had a better time than the Blues.
Birmingham hovering near the relegation zone isn’t that surprising. But it’s the manner of which they’re doing it this time.
Before Rooney took over, the Blues were sitting in the playoff positions. Then new owners took charge of the club, wanted to bring in a big-name manager and thought upsetting the players and fans was a good way to start their tenure.
It’s gone horribly, horribly wrong.
Birmingham City currently sit four points above the drop. But if this form continues, they’ll find themselves down in the bottom before too long.
